KNOW-HOW
There is now an international awareness aimed at limiting the risks linked to the use of chemical products (Adoption of the Global Harmonized System by the UNO). In addition, the recent European Regulations (REACH 1907/2006, biocides 98/8/CE) aims to restrict the distribution of dangerous chemical components as well as strictly regulate their use.
Favourite during the shower or bath, the "shower gels" are widely used in our daily life. With 6 bottles per second sold in France that is 511,000 bottles sold per day, French people are those who devote the highest budget in Europe for shower gels. It is important to emphasize that these daily use products that we appreciate so much, are overwhelmingly composed of ingredients derived from petroleum chemistry that attack our skin (first natural immune barrier) in many ways. Indeed, they contain substances that can potentially destroy our hydrolipidic barrier, cause sensitizations, irritations and thus disrupt our endocrine system. Some substances are even suspected to be carcinogens...
A recent example raised by the media is the problem of parabens, which are accused of being endocrine disrupters. That is why the cosmetic manufacturers have replaced them by other conservative syntheses such as Methylisothiazolinone and Methylchloroisothiazolinone (also called MIT). However, due to their allergenic potential, these conservatives urge to be modified or replaced themselves. Such substitution approaches are endless and increasingly publicized, making the consumer evermore suspicious...
What is more, even if, taken individually, the raw materials are well known, the interactions between them are much less so. Indeed, the “Cocktail Effect” of these ingredients present in chemical-synthetic products has not been well studied, thus possibly hiding other unknown dangers to consumer health.

Testimonials:
« I have been using soaps for over twenty years. The shower gels usually bother me because of their sticky side on the skin, which is quite difficult to rinse... Hence my choice to use soaps. I always had a skin prone to allergies (undetermined causes) which appear systematically after showering independently of the type of soap used. To my great surprise, after using the SALVECO® shower gel, there wasn’t a skin reaction! Finally a product that could reconcile myself with shower gels. »
« My skin is very sensitive on the face after major burns. Accustomed to my skin reacts to most products, even at neutral pH soaps, I have felt and seen no reaction after use of the SALVECO® shower gel. »
